New-York based programmers Jeff Weinstein and Steve Mike have build an app called ‘hastagmom’ that allows users to let their mom know where they are through Foursquare.

Users start by first entering their mom’s phone numbers on the website. Following that, all they need to do is add #mom to their Foursquare check-in and their mothers will then receive a notification.

Users can also include an accompanying message or an automated call.

If you’re not jumping on the bandwagon, chances are, your mom will make you do so.
