Japanese Scientist Creates Burger Out Of Human Feces

Japanese scientist Mitsuyuki Ikeda has discovered a way to create burgers out of human feces.

Protein and lipids are extracted from human feces, treated with reaction enhancer and put in an exploder to create artificial meat.

It is then colored with red food coloring, and its flavor enhanced with soy protein and steak sauce.

The ‘shit’ burger consists of 63% protein, 25% carbohydrates, 3% lipids, and 9% minerals; and researchers said that it tastes just like beef.


As Japan has an overabundance of sewage, Ikeda’s recycled meat could reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

However—with the cost of research factored in—the synthetic meat costs ten to twenty times more than regular meat.
