Raincoats That Change Color When Wet

Design duo Viviane Jaeger and Emma Jayne Parkes—with the help of haute couture embroiderer Charlotte La Roche and couture pattern cutter Vlasta Collu, for SquidLondon—have created raincoats that change color when wet.

When dry, Rainwear: Color-Changing Couture coats are monochromatic in color, with white follower motifs.

But once the smart material is exposed to rain or water, the garment blossoms into a bright and colorful look.

The coats come in three different designs and embroideries, which let you look chic, even as you get drenched in the rain.
