Created by London-based firm Renew, the bombproof rubbish bins also come with Wi-Fi connectivity.
A hundred of these bins will be placed in the city’s financial district before the games begin in July.
At $1,800 each, orders are also expected to come in from New York, Singapore and Tokyo.
