Taiwan’s EVA Airline has unleashed three Hello Kitty-themed airplanes, for those who can’t get enough of the Japanese mouth-less cartoon cat.
The boarding passes, baggage stickers, luggage tags, headrest covers, pillows, tissues, paper cups, utensils, toiletries (soap dispensers and hand lotions), food (meals and ice cream), and aprons of flight attendants of the three planes—named ‘Apple Jet’, ‘Global Jet’, and ‘Magic Jet’—are all decked out in the kawaii cat’s images.
The boarding gate of the Hello Kitty flyer, at Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport, is also Hello Kitty-themed: pink with a Hello Kitty playground, according to CNNGo.
On board the plane, passengers can purchase limited edition duty-free Hello Kitty products, such as Hello Kitty-shaped pasta and aprons.
“Many people specify that they want to take EVA’s special Hello Kitty jet,” said Anna Wong, Hong Kong’s EVA Air public relations officer, told CNNGo. “The response has been excellent so far.”
The planes will operate on different routes, originating from Taipei, for at least a year.
Magic Jet will fly to Sapporo (BR116/115) everyday, and to Guam (BR20/19) on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Apple Jet will fly to to Seoul (BR160/159) everyday, and to Fukuoka (BR2106/2105) every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Global Jet will fly to Hong Kong (BR857/858) and to Tokyo (BR2189/2197) everyday.
Passengers need to check for the specific flight codes to book seats on these Sanrio cat-themed planes.
