A Castle, A Lighthouse And Even A Hotel Within A Bonsai Tree
Japanese artist Takanori Aiba has incorporated not just homes but elaborate castles, forts, lighthouses and even a Michelin Hotel into bonsai trees.
Using a mixture of materials such as stone clay, copper line, plastic and resin, Aiba has sought to portray “the beauty of spiritual accordance between human and nature in miniature”.
"Bonsai reflects the Japanese traditional aesthetic sense of expressing the magnificence of nature in a small potted plant," says Aiba.
"However, the density of decoration and the rich stories of my works contain extraordinary times and spaces which differ from the bonsai world determined by plants physiology".
