Dutch design firm LOOS.FM has constructed a 20-meter tall church-shaped pavilion out of large LEGO-inspired blocks titled ‘Abondantus Giganticus’.
The temporary structure—created for last year’s Grensweck Festival in The Netherlands—was built using Legioblocks, which are resusable, stackable, concrete construction blocks.
The grey and nondescript blocks are then painted to resemble LEGO blocks—of which they were named after.
According to the creators, the pavilion “makes a connection between something grand and overwhelming (the church and its size) and something playful, simple and comprehensible (LEGO)”.
