Man Crowdsources His Marriage Proposal
Buzzfeed contributer Len Kendall proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Katie, by getting Buzzfeed contributors to ‘Internet meme’ him and make his proposal “#SayYesKatie” a trending topic on Twitter.
Kendall posted a ‘meme’ of himself, with the text “Katie, I love you so much. Will you marry me?”
He also posted a plain picture of himself on one knee, holding the ring, and asked the site’s visitors to help him “Convince Katie To Say ‘Yes’!”—and make him “the happiest man in the whole internets”.
Pictures of Kendell were photoshopped into Internet memes.
The result: she said ‘yes’.
