In Spain, A Vending Machine That Dispenses Fresh Seafood
Fishmonger duo Ruben and Marga Rios has installed a vending machine outside their Martín Arrandegia shop in the Basque region of Northern Spain that dispenses fresh fish 24/7.
The vending machine carries sardines, anchovies, slices of salmon, prawns and a plethora of other seafood including cooked ones that are sold at the same price as those in the shop.
Every morning, the pair buys their seafood from the nearby market before cleaning, preparing and packaging them in individual trays, designed for optimal storage in the machine.
The vending machine has gained much popularity with the locals, prompting the pair to think of stocking fresh bait for fisherman next.
