Japan’s Earthquake, Tsunami Disaster, Retold Through The Eyes Of Children
BBC has aired a documentary that retells the March 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami through the eyes of children.
‘Children of the Tsunami’ describes one of the greatest disasters through testimonies of 7-10-year-old survivors, and parents who’ve lost their children—showing how these children’s and families’ lives are forever changed.
The one hour-long documentary unfolds at: a primary school, where 74 were killed by the tsunami; and at another school near the Fukushima nuclear plant, that’s attended by children evacuated from the nuclear exclusion zone.
