Children Paint Positive Words Across Brazil's Shanty Town
Spanish art collective Boa Mistura has initiated a participatory street art project in Brazil that aims to spread positivity in the local communities.
Titled "Luz nas Vielas" (Light in the Alleyways), the group invited children to paint positive words like ‘love’ and ‘pride’ along the alleys of Vila Brasilianda, a shanty town in Sao Paulo.
According to the group, the winding streets are "the true articulators of the internal life of the community" and the project aims to engage the town’s inhabitants to transform their everyday environment.
