How A Cat Sees The World, Captured On Film
South California-based German engineer Juergen Perthold adopted a cat as a stray, which had a habit of going out of his home for days at a time.
As curious as cats, Perthold wondered where his cat, named Mr Lee, wanders during the day.
So Perthold decided to create a tiny camera that fit onto his cat’s collar, which continuously took photographs.
In the photo series ‘CatCam’—and short documentary 'CatCam The Movie' directed by Seth Keal, which debuted at the SXSW Film Festival—the everyday adventures and mysterious life of Mr Lee was revealed.
Mr Lee travels far out of his neighborhood, and has many other feline friends.
Perthold is also selling cat cameras from US$53 each, for feline lovers to attach their cat’s collar.
