Infographic: The Learning Power Of LEGO

Online College has created an infographic titled ‘The Learning Power of LEGO’ that traces the history of LEGO and how the building blocks aid in a child’s development.

According to the infographic, over 400 billion LEGO blocks have been produced since the 1940s, showing the popularity of the toy.

That also means that if all the LEGO bricks ever produced were to be divided equally among the world population of 6 billion, each person would have 62 LEGO bricks.

But when it comes to LEGO, its not just play.

Teaching kids to think in 3D and equipping them with problem solving, organization and planning skills through construction are just some of the ways in which LEGO improves creativity.

Lastly, the infographic further highlights how LEGO has entered numerous classrooms as an education tool used by teachers.
