Ashton Kutcher To Play Steve Jobs In Movie
American actor Ashton Kutcher will play Apple visionary Steve Jobs in an indie film documenting Jobs’ early life and the founding of Apple.
Titled ‘Jobs’, the movie will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern and “will chronicle Steve Jobs from wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple”, reported Variety.
Reports also said that Kutcher is serious about the role and has started his research. Filming is scheduled to start in May.
"He is already meeting with folks that knew Steve Jobs. He's working with professionals to get inside the voice. He's letting his hair grow out. I understand he's canceled all his meetings and actually canceled all other projects," says the film's producer, Mark Hulme. "He believes the role was meant for him.”
According to Hulme again, Stern feels that this project is “so significant that [he doesn't] want any actor to come on board, [who] doesn't believe in it and thinks it's award-worthy.”
