World’s First Robot With Artificial Human Bones And Muscles

Professor Owen Holland of the University of Sussex has built the world’s first anthropomimetic robot, with artificial human bones, muscles and tendons.

The robot, named ‘ECCEROBOT’ is designed to have a skeletal structure and movements that can mimic the human body.

Holland and his team believe their robot marks a step closer toward advancing true artificial intelligence.

The robot is featured in a BBC programme titled Horizon: The Hunt for A1, which premiered on the BBC channel on April 3.
