LEGO Organ Made Of ‘Star Wars’ Pieces, Plays ‘Star Wars’ Theme Song

To promote the Star Wars LEGO toy sets, Service Plan Campaign built an oversized barrel organ for LEGO GmbH, using 20,000 LEGO bricks.

In the LEGO campaign ‘Builders of Sounds’, LEGO bricks and pieces have been carefully arranged on the barrel, so that when the barrel of the organ is turned, the organ plays the Star Wars theme tune composed by John Williams.

The barrel organ was created by two professional LEGO builders Rene Hoffmeister and Axel Al-Rubaie.

The various settings of the Star Wars saga were also incorporated into the builders’ design—so that the ‘Death Star’, the desert landscapes of the planet ‘Tatooine’, the icy landscape of ‘Hoth’, and the jungle of ‘Endor’ could be seen in the layout.

Viewers could explore the Star Wars galaxy far, far away, and its characters in LEGO pieces using the interactive installation.

The LEGO barrel organ is currently touring Germany, and will eventually be permanently installed at LEGOLAND Germany later this year.
