Hi-Tech Teapot Brews Your Tea To Perfection

Especially for tea lovers, electronics manufacturer Philips designed an electrical teapot that brews you a perfect pot of tea.

Called the ‘Philips Tea Maker’, the teapot optimizes water temperatures steeping times for different types of teas at the touch of a button.

It comes with multiple pre-programed settings—with different temperatures and steeping times—for the four main types of tea: black, green, herbal and rooibos; and an option to set your own.

The Tea Maker’s teapot and filter are also designed in such a way to give tea leaves space to fully unfold—to help release the rich aroma of tea. Users can also user teabags for the pot.

The Tea Maker is made of stainless steel, as according to research the material has “minimal taste influence and does not absorb flavors”, Philips wrote in a statement.

The pot is also double-walled to keep tea warm.

Once tea left to steep, the light ring around the base of the pot starts lighting up part-by-part.

When the ring is complete, your tea is ready to be enjoyed.
