Adobe Announces CS6, $50/Month Cloud-Based Service
Adobe has unveiled the Adobe Creative Suite 6 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
The new release features major upgrades to the applications Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Production Premium, Dreamweaver, Flash, and After Effects.
Especially new to the release is Adobe’s Creative Cloud, a subscription-based service announced last year.
For US$50 a month, Creative Cloud lets users: download and install every new Adobe CS6 application and two new HTML5 products, Adobe Muse and Adobe Edge preview; and store (up to 20GB), share, and access their work online—even through Photoshop Touch on tablets.
“Creatives get a ton of innovation across CS6, with milestone releases of all our flagship products,” David Wadhwani, senior vice president of Adobe, said in a statement.
“With CS6 and Creative Cloud, we’re also introducing new products, new mobile workflows and advanced publishing capabilities that show we are laser-focused on ensuring design, web and video pros have everything they need for the delivery of high-impact content and apps.”
For more information or preorders of CS6, users can proceed to Adobe’s website.
