The Creative Finder Urges Bloggers to Use Images Ethically with Embed Feature

Over here at The Creative Finder, we highly respect creative work along with the creative process that comes along with it.

While the Internet is a great way to share creative work, what usually happens is that work gets distributed without proper accreditation and thus, the creator suffers.

Thus, since launching The Creative Finder a month ago, we have rolled out another feature aimed at upholding intellectual property rights and allowing creatives and bloggers to share work in an ethical manner.

The new feature is essentially a code generator that allows one to embed images onto other sites, much like Youtube’s embedding feature.

When readers click on the image, they will be redirected back to the creative’s portfolio.

According to Venturebeat, “the creators win because the images get used as embeds rather than copied files that then get uploaded to someone else’s server without attribution or links".

At the same time, bloggers and site owners also benefit as “they get high-quality, interesting images free of charge”.

The feature is optional and creatives can also choose to enable or disable sharing of their images—restricted at max. width of 550px—at any time.

On top of that, their work can also be further protected with the use of watermarks that be easily enabled by clicking on a checkbox.

With this feature, The Creative Finder—labeled ‘The Social network for creatives’ by ReadWriteWeb—hopes to give creatives more control over their work.

What do you think of this new feature?
