As A Tribute To Ordinary People, DDB Inverts Apple’s ‘Crazy Ones’ Ad
Not everyone can be a genius.
As a tribute to ordinary people—and an ad for film, books and magazine shop Papercut—DDB Stockholm has inverted Apple’s famous “Crazy Ones”, Think Different commercial.
In the cheeky print ad, it celebrates majority of us—those who are “normal”—the one who’s “always struggling”, “never complaing”, “never quoted”, and “never celebrated”.
“You can call them boring, but you can’t ignore them—they’re the ones who make everything work, who get the job done,” the ad says.
At the end of the ad it says, “When people sneer ‘average joe’, we say: ‘welcome’… Because when you’re ordinary, you need something out of the ordinary”, which is where the bookshop that sells something a little more exciting everyday comes into play—according to the ad.
Here’s to you, fellow ordinary person!
