Artist Creates PANTONE Colors Chart, Based On Human Skin Tone

Drawing inspiration from the iconic PANTONE color guide, French artist Pierre David has recreated PANTONE’s classic color palette based on the skin tone of forty different models.

His latest work, titled ‘The Human Pantone’, involves photographing the skin of the different models, and arranging them according to the hues of their skin tone.

The result is a color chart of skin tones ranging from pale to dark—highlighting the diversity of different races and the uniqueness behind each individual.

Designers—would you like to have a human PANTONE chart?
