Ad Agency Uses 873 Stock Images To Tell A Story

To show that the online royalty-free photo archive Getty Images is capable of helping anybody tell any story they want—Brazilian ad agency AlmapBBDO created a commercial using 873 stock images to tell a story.

Called ‘From Love to Bingo’, the ad agency took 6 months to sift through 5,000 photographs from the site to find images to create the 1-minute video.

It features 15 images per second, a speed fast enough to transform the series of images into a video—to tell a story without the need for text.

“The clip is made up of 15 snapshots per second,” AlmapBBDO said in a statement. “All of the pictures show different people in different places, yet they fit together to make a single story.”

While working on the video, the script had to be improved and built on, so that the story could be understood.

“Sometimes, for example, a scene would look perfect on paper, but the images chosen to depict it were not sufficient or did not perfectly match up to offer the right movement and sense,” the ad agency wrote. “And hence the research had to be restarded.”
