Street Artists Use Grass And Moss To Create ‘Natural’ Graffiti
NYC-based, eco-minded guerrilla street artists Edina Tokodi and József Vályi-tóth of Mosstika Urban Greenery use—not paint, but—living grass and moss to create ‘living’ and ‘natural’ graffiti, so that the urban jungle feels less concrete-like and more earthy.
With their art, they hope to evoke “the call of man back to nature”, they write.
“We believe that if everyone had a garden of their own to cultivate, we would have a much more balanced relation to our territories. It is with this notion in mind, that we at Mosstika, aim to collide the worlds of art and nature, creating havens of unexpected greenery, within the colder harsher environment.”
