8-Bit Umbrella Makes Music From Raindrops
Berlin-based developer and musician Alice Zeppa in collaboration with her band E.D.E.K.A, has created an umbrella that makes getting caught in the rain a bit more fun.
When the prototype ‘8-bit Umbrella’ detects rainfall, it turns it into 8-bit music—making you feel like you’re in an old-school video game.
The sounds also change depending on the intensity of the rain.
Zeppa created the umbrella using 12 sensors, two speakers, an Arduino Uno, and lots of duct tape.
