Photographer Reveals The Less-Than-Perfect Life Of Barbie And Ken

Vancouver-based photographer Dina Goldstein—known for her ‘Fallen Princesses’ series—has now revealed the less-than-perfect life of everyone’s favorite plastic couple, Barbie and Ken.

In her project entitled ‘In The Dollhouse’, Goldstein examines the less than perfect life of Barbie and Ken.

“B is a super doll, the most successful doll in the world. Her partner K is grappling with his sexuality and finds himself in a loveless marriage. He struggles with his position in the household and faces his lack of authenticity,” she wrote about her series.

As the series progresses, the relationship takes a dark turn, and eventually Barbie cracks from the strain of her marriage in her hot pink dream house.

Barbie and Ken’s relationship isn’t like everyone imagined it to be.
