If ‘Star Wars’ Characters Were Out Of Work…

US-based photographer Marcos Munichin takes your average action figures and reworks them to mimic real life—a life that pans out to be not as glamorous as imagined.

As part of his ongoing project ‘The Secret Life of Toys’, in his series ‘Recession Army’, Munichin reimagines how Star Wars characters would look like if they were out of work and had to beg on the streets.

Characters such as Yoda, Stormtroopers, Anakin Skywalker and Han Solo are seen begging with cardboard signs in tow, that state what they could offer to earn a living.

“I realize that toys are as honest as humans want to be. Toys can’t hide their emotions, their scars and they become a reflection of ourselves,” Munichin wrote. “That’s why I found them to be best spokespersons of my ideas, also because they work long hours and they don’t complain.”
