15-Year-Old Launches Healthier Candy Line Without The 'Junk'
By John Yong, 19 Jun 2012

When Nicky Bronner was 13-years-old, he had half of his Halloween candy confiscated from his parents because they said that it was bad for him.
That got Nicky thinking—how to make candy taste better without all the unhealthy ingredients such as hydrogenated oils, preservatives, corn syrup and artificial color and flavoring?
Together with his father Michael Bronner and world-renowned chef Adam Melonas, the now 15-year-old Nicky founded Unreal—‘Unjunked’ candies made with 100% natural ingredients.
Unreal candies are healthier alternatives to some of America’s best-selling candies such as M&Ms, Milky Way, Reese’s Buttercups and Snickers—containing 45% less sugar, 13% less fat, 23% fewer calories, 149% more protein and 250% more fiber.
According to its website, Unreal candies will be sold in 30,000 different stores and pharmacies nationwide in July.
Yay to guilt-free indulgence!
