Designer Creates Sneakers That Teach Your Kids How To Dance
Combining exercise with video game-style interaction, UK-based industrial designer Tom Sykes has created a concept pair of shoes that teaches your child how to dance.
Called the ‘GroundWave Shadow Trainer’, the trainers are equipped with accelerometer sensors concealed in the shoes, that can connect to a smartphone app to give live feedback.
The app teaches kids what moves to do, and by sensing what kids do in the shoes, the app tells them how well they’re doing.
Kids can also create their own dance crews and share high scores with friends, and challenge others.
