Facebook Now Lets You Edit Comments
Facebook users can now edit a comment they’ve left within the first few seconds after posting it.
When users click the ‘pen’ button at the top right-hand corner of the comment, the additional option to edit it has been added to the drop-down menu.
Clicking the ‘Edit…’ option will re-open the comment as an input field, and let users edit the previously-entered text.
Users can also press ‘Esc’ to cancel the option to edit. But if they choose to post an edited the comment, the comment will also state that its been edited below.
The new feature makes it helpful for those who’ve made typos, or those who want to change the comment they’ve made, without the need for deleting and retyping it.
Facebook wrote on its Known Issues on Facebook page: “If you click the delete button within several seconds of posting, the text will be editable again. Keep in mind that if another person comments before you click the delete button, this edit option is no longer available.”
