Artist Creates Mosaics Of New York Icons Using Discarded Metro Cards
Manhattan-based artist Nina Boesch has taken thousands of discarded metro cards by fellow New Yorkers, and turned them into wonderful mosaics of New York-inspired iconographies.
Her works depict famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty to the Yankee Stadium, portraits of famous celebrities and typography—mostly New York related.
According to the artist, all her works are made from cut up pieces of used and expired metro cards and she has been creating such mosaics for over 10 years.
