Designer Creates Minimalistic DIY Shoes Held Together By A Single Lace
French designer Gaspard Tiné-Berès has designed a series of minimalistic felt-made shoes that requires the wearer to assemble with a single lace.
Called ‘Lasso Shoes’, they are made with a single piece of natural wool felt that has been die-cut from 5mm sheets—which requires the wearer to assemble by “sewing’ a single colored lace into the seams of the shoe.
According to Tiné-Berès, he said “the act of self-assembling the slippers increases the sense of ownership[ and emotional connection with them and allows for personalization through the choices of laces used.”
Hipsters—would you like to get your hands on a pair of these minimalistic DIY shoes?
