McDonald’s Reveals Its Big Mac ‘Secret Sauce’
Taking another stab at transparency, McDonald’s Canada has revealed what is in its famous Big Mac’s sauce.
In the video ‘What is in the sauce that is in the Big Mac?’, Executive Chef Dan Coudreaut remade a Big Mac using everyday items found at a local grocery store.
The sauce, he states, include: mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika; making it seem that McDonald’s food is just like home-cooking.
Website Serious Eats double-checked the Big Mac sauce ingredients on McDonald’s Canada’s website, and found that it contained more than those states, such as xanthum gum, potassium sorbate, and calcium disodium EDTA.
