A Phone That Runs On A Single AA Battery
By John Yong, 18 Jul 2012
‘SpareOne’ is an emergency phone that runs on a single AA battery—perfect as part of your survival kit.
The phone is able to make emergency calls without a SIM card and it can hold a charge for up to 15 years when switched off.
You can even use it as your actual cell phone—just insert your SIM card and it will last through 10 hours of talk time on a single battery, according to its website.
The phone features nine ‘re-settable speed dial buttons’, one ‘emergency pre-set dial buttons’ and comes equipped with a white LED torch light as well.
The phone comes in two different GSM frequencies, so choose the GSM Band according to the country you live in.
The SpareOne Emergency Phone can be purchased at USD$69.99 from their online store.
