California-based Lisa Swerling creates these dioramas, called Glass Cathedrals, that use scale models to set up whimsical and bizarre scenarios: a couple cycling across the world (map); a cleaning lady sweeping piles of pink glitter; a group of bystanders contemplating the release of “God” from its glass prison:
