The Pet Stool is more than just a object for sitting on. Created by Israeli-born designer Eyal Hirsh, the solid oak stool extends to a large bean bag of sorts.
One of its legs is made of textile, which leads to a ‘friendly creature’ cushion. The cushion could be made of different colors to brighten the room it’s placed in, and can be used to sit and sleep on, or played with.
Hirsh’s idea of the Pet Stool was to bring joy and playfulness into typical forms and purposes of home furniture.
His intent was to create a new interaction between people and the furniture around them, so that people may release their inhibitions more.
“When we’re around the Pet Stool, we may be allowed to feel different, and maybe act different and more free,” Hirsh says.
