Drop Test: iPhone 5 VS Galaxy S3
To put an end to the ‘which is the superior smartphone’ debate, tech blog Andriod Authority decided to put Apple’s iPhone 5 and Samsung’s Galaxy S3 to the ultimate test—a ‘drop test’.
In the video, they dropped the Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 three times—each time from an increasing height to simulate real-life instances of people dropping their phones.
After the devices were dropped, they were inspected to see which had sustained the most damage.
The results are as follows: the iPhone 5 was able to withstand the impact—suffering slight exterior damages and the glass cover remained intact.
However, the Galaxy S3 not only suffered damages to its casing, but also to its front glass—with cracks forming across the screen.
After Samsung’s anti-iPhone ads, we’re pretty sure Apple fanboys are laughing at Samsung right now.
