The Dark Side of the Lens captures images of towering waves and swimming in the ocean alongside sea mammals, which shows what it’s like to be out there in the sea shooting things like these.

To sum it up, the film reveals the reason why Smith leads the creative life; it is not about the money, but the love for it.

“I love doing what I do,” Smith says in his feature. “And I may never be a rich man, if I live long enough, but I certainly have a tale or two for the nephews.”
