App Turns Text Into Attractive, Meme-Ready Type-Graphic
Dubbed by some to be an “Instagram for words”, ‘Whims’ is an app that allows users to turn any text—be it a status update or a quote—into an attractively laid-out, meme-ready type-graphic.
This social-networking app is likely to appeal to the typographic junkie with its generous, but not excessive, selection of fonts, colors and layouts.
Whims works like a regular text editor, and allows its users to tweak words however they like—but it also comes with a pre-made style sheets.
There is also a bunch of cleverly-named profiles to choose from, such as “Bruce Wayne”, “Daisy Buchanan”, “Barack Obama” and “Mitt Romney”.
