A Mural of Van Gogh’s Starry Night Created From Old Door Knobs
Hardware store owner David Goldberg has found a surprising use for his collection of old, discontinued brass door knobs—he used them to create a mural replica of Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night.
With a warehouse full of obsolete brass door hardware, he decided to get creative with the door knobs instead of selling them off for scrap.
Using thick brass handles for the namesake stars and clear crystal door knobs for the clouds, the mural has become an attraction in Goldberg’s native Bethesda, Maryland.
Officials have even installed benches in front of it to allow visitors to take a rest and admire this piece of eco-art.
