‘Mobile Window Garden’ Gives Apartments Some Greenery
To bring much-needed greenery to tiny, urban apartments, French designers Barreau & Charbonnet have created a mobile window garden that easily fits windows.
Designed to work both horizontally and vertically, the ‘Volet Végétal’ can be lowered to project out of the building like an ornamental shelf, or pulled up to create a natural, living shutter to keep out some light.
During the winter months, the mobile garden can also be an indoor frame for a year-round green space.
