McDonald’s To Launch ‘Angry Birds’ From Its Golden Arches In China
Looks like McDonald’s China has found a new purpose for its iconic Golden Arches: to serve as a slingshot for Rovio’s ‘Angry Birds’.
The Business Insider reports that McDonald’s China has allowed its customers to vote which of its 1,500 outlet should host the life-sized slingshot to ‘protect McDonald’s food’ from the evil green pigs.
To help publicize the ‘McBirds’ collaboration, TBWA Shanghai worked with Rovio to produce online media, outdoor ads, and a location-based ‘Angry Birds’ game for McDonald’s.
As reported earlier this year, Rovio is also planning to open an ‘Angry Birds’ theme park in China.
The ‘Angry Birds: McDonald’s’ version of the game can be played here.
