‘Steve Jobs Tribute MacBook Pro’ Remembers Apple’s Ex-CEO
Hong Kong design student Jonathan Mak— known for his tribute design to the late ex-CEO of Apple, of Steve Jobs’ silhouette in the Apple logo—has collaborated with Amsterdam design firm Uncover in a project to honor Jobs.
In the collaboration, three MacBook Pro Retinas were etched with Mak’s design into the Apple logo, and laser-tattooed with Jobs’ quote “You can change things” at the bottom.
The Steve Jobs ‘Tribute MacBook Pros’ were auctioned—of which, all proceeds will be split between the Get It Done charity and SellanApp, people dedicated to creating iOS apps that don’t have a direct business model.
The Retina MacBooks come with 2.7 Ghz, 16GB memory and a 750GB solid state drive.
