Photographs Taken At The Edge Of The World

Finnish self-taught photographer Mikko Lagerstedt may have started shooting only four years ago, but he has quickly developed a signature style for landscape and nature photography that is hauntingly beautiful.

His latest collection of pictures⎯titled ‘Edge’⎯consists of surreally-isolated shots of wild, natural landscapes in Finland, with a focus on the horizon line.

Capturing skies brimming with stars and otherworldly self-portrait silhouettes, the “atmospheric photography” series evokes a melancholic yet exhilarating sense of standing at the edge of the world alone.
