For The OCD: ‘Skittles Sorting Machine’ Divides Your Candy By Color
If you love Skittles and M&Ms, but you hate how they don’t normally come in separated colors—electrical engineer Brian Egenriether created a machine that sorts your candy for you.
The ‘Skittles Sorting Machine’ detects the color of your sweets and organizes them.
With the use of a BASIC Stamp 2 and 3 servos, an infrared LED and phototransistor, parts from a hummingbird feeder and a telescope, and PVC, Egenriether put the machine together.
