Brad Pitt Launches His Own Furniture Collection
Most celebrities turn to creating their own perfume or clothes, but Brad Pitt… he has an interest in interior design.
Brad Pitt has teamed up with furniture maker Frank Pollaro to launch his own furniture collection, according to Architectural Digest.
Thus far, the limited edition range of furniture consists of a dining table, a bed, an armchair, a cocktail table, side tables, and a marble bathtub for two—all in the style of Art Deco.
The entire collection will be customizable in a variety of materials and furnishes, will be in numbered editions or limited production, and signed by Pitt and Pollaro.
Pitt-Pollaro pieces are predicted to cost a hefty price, as Pollaro declares that the prices would be “typically at the highest end of the custom-furnishings scale, and these will be up there, even north of that,” he tells Architectural Digest.
But certain pieces may be adapted for larger-scale production, in different materials.
“The same chair we charge $45,000 for might sell for a fraction of that,” he adds.
Pitt also adds that his interest in design was not an impulse. Rather, he’s “been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s”, he tells Architectural Digest, when he “first discovered [Charles Rennie] Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright”.
