Pinterest Introduces Secret Boards, For Private Sharing
Everything on image-sharing site Pinterest has been absolutely public—every pin made by every user can be viewed publicly—until now.
Strategically releasing “secret boards” in time for the holiday season, Pinterest has created an option for its users to create restricted inspiration boards for private sharing.
Potentially useful for planning special events or for personal work projects that cannot be shared with the world just yet, users can choose to keep their secret boards to themselves or open it up to selected family and friends.
As pins on secret boards could not be viewed anywhere else on Pinterest, this new feature has effectively given users a private nook on the world’s most public bulletin board.
