Artist Creates A ‘Ballroom’ Structure With Tree Saplings

American artist Patrick Dougherty has combined his love for carpentry and nature by weaving together a “ballroom” structure using willow tree saplings.

It took Dougherty three weeks to weave 10 tons of tree saplings into formation, using only gloves and a pair of pruning shears.

The structure was created with entrances—allowing members of the public to engage with the structure.
