NASA Explains Why The World Won’t End This Year
The Mayan apocalypse paranoia has gotten so widespread that NASA was compelled to create a website that explains why the world will not end later this month on 21 December 2012.
In response to the question of whether the world will come to harm in 2012, NASA’s answer is an irrevocable 'no'—in their words, “the world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012”.
Laying out the facts to put this popular rumour to rest once and for all, NASA sets out to quell fears and reassure the world that our home planet is not going to be hit by a gigantic meteor—or any other similar calamity—and the predicted doomsday is going to be just another winter solstice.
Whether you are genuinely worried about the world ending or simply want to pick up some scientific trivia, this website will be a good read.
