A LEGO-Made Machine Sorts M&Ms By Color

People have been known to create pretty awesome machines with LEGO Mindstorm kits, but this Christmas-themed M&M sorting machine is the coolest we have seen in a while.

This fun robotic masterpiece was constructed by Gizmodo reader Jan Gerritsen—also known as “Nxe1engineer”—who also built this amazing beer machine that serves up perfectly chilled bottles of beer.

Using a color sensor that scans each M&M individually, the machine is able to sort them accurately into their respective color slots.
