Ballet Posters Get ‘Street Art’ Treatment
In a bid to entice youngsters to ballet, The New York City Ballet (NYCB) teamed up with DDB New York and artistic twosome FAILE, to bring urban street art styles to the classic dance.
In the NYCB Art Series, four artworks were created in retro French comic book treatment—that would make attractive pieces to those not yet exposed to the dance form.
The works would be included on billboards, subway panels, digital and print banners, postcards and the likes.
Will these work on the new generation?
